Description
SquareTrade © AP6.0 squaretradetravelseal   SquareTrade Travel Verified 014773050636   This is a wonderful way for you and your family to experience paradise in luxury.  St. John is a true Tropical Island paradise.  I own a 3 bedroom Bayside/Bay Vista Villa one week a year and am using my first year for my family in 2008 but I am renting out my week for 2009.  Booking your stay should be done one year in advance in order to secure the week of your choice and right now that is exactly what we have.  My time share purchase allows me to pick any week of any month which is a nice freedom to have.  The most popular month is January then February then March and so on.  If you want to go in Jan. then booking in Jan. is critical and if you want to go in feb. then booking in feb. is critical.      The Westin does have regular hotel rooms as well, they are aprox. 300 sq. ft and rent for approx. $700.00 per night which is awesome for a single couple.  My villa is almost 5 times that big and offers much, much more than a hotel room.  First of all it sleeps up to 10 people, meaning 2 families of 5 could share it or 3 couples or even a single couple if they really wanted to stay in luxury and have all sorts of freedom and comfort.  If you are at all interested in vacationing in St. John USVI there is no doubt the The Westin Resort is the place to stay.  Check out and explore a couple of their web sites www.starwoodvo.com or www.westinresortstjohn.com.  The Westin St.John is the only state side like Hotel / Resort on St. John.  The Westin St. John is one of a kind, nothing else compares to it, they even have a private ferry shuttle that picks you up from the airport in St. Thomas (as St. John does not have an airport) and brings you straight to the Westin.  The minute you get off the plane you are treated like royalty by the Westin as they even have thier own private staff at the airport that takes care of your baggage  from the time it is unloaded off the plane all the way to your hotel room / villa.       There are two different Villa location at the Westin, there is the Hillside Villas which are located on the hillside across the road from the actual resort and I am not sure how old they are but I do know it would be a bit of a walk to get to the beach.  Hillside villas do have a free shuttle service that comes by periodically to take guest into the resort which is nice.  My villa is known as the Bayside or Bay Vista Villas, they are located right in the resort.  The Westin actually took 108 guest hotel rooms and converted them into 54 vacation ownership villas and are not scheduled for completion until Febuary of 2008.  You can see a computer reindition of a two bedroom Bayvista villa by going to www.starwoodvo.com and click on Villas then click on the "Two-bedroom Villa" ( Not two bedroom loft.) scroll to the bottom and click on"Take a video tour".  Remember this is a computer reinditon and I have talked with owner services at the Westin in St. John and was told that the computer reindition does not do them justice.  These are jaw dropping extrodinairaly nice vacation homes, in a class of its own resort, on one of the most beatiful Islands in the world. Remember this may not be for you or it just might be what you have been looking for, I know that I can't wait to go down there this Febuary and be spoiled with tropical beauty.  Again this unit is for rent not for sale.  I am renting it out for any week of your choosing for 2009 but you must hurry if your wanting to go at the first of the year.  And please email me with any question and I would be more than happy to answer any question over the phone as well. Scroll down and check out some fun interesting info on St. John and The Westin. Fresh caught mahi mahi (which is a fish locally called Dolphin, but is not the porpoise!), served island style with pungent local spices. Today's catch of yellowfin tuna, broiled, baked, or perhaps with the chef's special Caribbean herb and spice mixture. Conch chowder for starters, key lime pie and Caribbean coffee for closers. And of course, aged Black Angus steaks for those who can travel but cannot go without! Dining on St. John is a magical whirl of gourmet chefs, local delicacies, open air seaside restaurants, moonlit nights, and no jackets required.   Paradise found! Although you can't eat atmosphere, you can drink it in! Some of the island's nicest restaurants are in historic courtyards, overlooking marinas, on the beach, in the finest resorts, and tucked away in places that say "call for directions." From beach bars to those establishments featured on national television, every meal is a highlight of your vacation. For local delights, stop at the food vans selling Roti, sort of a West Indian burrito, and Salt fish Pate, deep fried and great with a cold beer! Be sure to sample the West Indian Pig Roasts and buffets offered at the resorts! Major credit cards are accepted, and reservations are preferred. A word to the wise: ties and jackets are definitely not in fashion for the gentlemen; ladies, it's either casual or casual elegance.   Night Life on St. John Night Life - Relative to its small size, Cruz Bay has surprisingly vibrant nightlife. There are several hotspots in town with Reggae bands, jazz groups, and popular folk singers. With plenty of local guys hanging around, tourist girls can generally find a companion to show them the island. Best place to find out what's happening on the island, once you get there, is flyers posted around town in places such as tree trunks and utility polls as well as the local bulletin board which is across from the bank.   Few Caribbean Islands offer the spectacular areas for scuba diving, snorkeling, and all forms of watersports as are available in the crystal clear waters surrounding St. John. Several water-sports centers are located in Cruz Bay. Here, charters can take you to waters in all directions-not only those off of St. John, but also St. Thomas and the British Virgin Islands. The National Park Service and a number of private water-sports centers offer either short or extensive snorkeling tours. Here, day sail and power cruisers find pristine anchorages and first-rate sailing throughout the park. On virtually all these trips you can combine snorkeling and sailing pleasure. Sport fishing charters are readily available. A number of companies offer sea kayaking through organized half day and full day tours or straight kayak rentals. A water sports center is also available in Coral Bay.   Touring the waters surrounding St. John by sail or powerboat can be great fun-possibly the experience of a lifetime. All sizes and shapes of watercraft are available, either with captain, or self-operated. There are day trips and overnight trips, snorkeling trips, sightseeing trips, sunset sails and cruises, other various tours, or just enjoy a day of relaxation on the water. Cruise the waters to enjoy the nautical and marine beauty of St. John.       Shopping on St. John Shopping on St. John is a fun-filled relaxing experience. Famous for its near perfect beaches and its national park, St. John is also a treasure chest of unique goods and shopkeepers. The island shops are small and very individualized and the island's mellow and laid-back feeling extends into its stores.   Near the ferry landing, Wharfside Village houses an interesting arrangement of stores with a variety of appealing and attractive inventory including tropical ware, bags, swimsuits, and jewelry as well as food, liquor, hand crafted items and electronics. A short walk away through the tree-lined streets of Cruz Bay is another grouping of very attractive shops, Mongoose Junction, where fine artisans show their wares and where there are many eye pleasing galleries and boutiques. Excellent restaurants and cafe's are available throughout the area where shoppers can relax, enjoy the atmosphere, and feel refreshed. There are also new shops in Raintree Court and on Bay Street, and also in St. John's other village, the beautiful Coral Bay. Smaller shops are available in Trunk Bay and Cinnamon Bay that sell postcards, souvenirs, tee shirts, beach and snorkeling gear. And don't forget, the currency is the US dollar, so no troublesome conversions. The prices are duty-free, there is no haggling, and there is no sales tax! US citizens are each allowed $1,200 duty-free, but locally made goods, such as artwork and hand -wrought jewelry, are exempt, and don't even count toward your $1,200. And be sure to shop for great savings on liquor-those 21 or older can take five fifths back duty-free and a sixth if its one of the locally made rums! Do your own taste test at any Pina Colada stand.   Shopping hours Shops are generally open Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm. Some may open on Sunday when a cruise ship is in port. They are usually closed on public holidays.     St. John The Attraction At 19 square miles, St. John is the smallest of the three US Virgin Islands and is rated as one of the most quaint, delightful and romantic spots in the entire Caribbean.  Almost half of the island's area is a U.S. National Park, and through the years, its natural beauty has remained unchanged.  Most of St. John is as beautiful and ideal as when Christopher Columbus and his crew first sighted it over 500 years ago. Numerous near-deserted beaches, snorkeling and hiking trails, historical ruins and coral reefs full of sea life populate the island; one of the most tranquil environments you will find anywhere.                 Dining At The Westin in St. John   Mango Deli DiningExperience all the color and robust flavors of the Caribbean.
