Extremely Rare ENGRAVED Silent Flame Table Lighter by Dunhill.!!! Up for auction is a very EXCEPTIONAL ANTIQUE SILENT FLAME TABLE LIGHTER by DUNHILL. The lighter is an INCREDIBLE piece of collectible to get for a “CONNAISSEUR’S COLLECTION”. The lighting rod has a very tiny coil and the wick seems to be used as you can see on the pictures. I don’t know how to get it to spark, since I have tried 3 "C" batteries and I couldn’t get it to spark. I don’t know if it is normal since in the absence of an instruction sheet I didn’t know how to activate the sparking system. I'm sure it would probably be easy to get a spark out of it from someone who knows a little about that kind of lighter. The pictures have been taken so you can see all four sides of the silent flame lighter. It measures approx. 5-7/8" high x 3-13/16" of diameter at the base in its widest measurements. It weighs exactly 7.9 oz or 224 grams. In a very exceptional condition as you can see from the pictures. This beauty will always keep it value since it is ENGRAVED at the base with the following : “DUNHILL'S - SILENT FLAME – TABLE LIGHTER – U. S. PAT. NO. 2020142 ”.
