Great condition for its age with normal signs of wear. I Purchased the with the intention of keeping in my collection. A few days later I found one that I wanted more so I am selling this one. The trunk has some staining on the lid and at some point has a repair done to the main brass lock plate. It was reattached with blank brass rivits so those do not say Louis Vuitton like the many others attached to the trunk. It may have been bent or had an issue because now the trunk it a little off track. It will still line up and latches. It just takes a little effort to do that. The interior tray is still present which is hard to find. Most of these are lost at some point of the trunks life. The monogram is bright and intact. There are a few splits in the canvas but I would say that 98% of the canvas is intact. The trunk is trimmed in iron. The black iron handles are very sturdy and functional. Winning bidder can expect to pay approx $350 for shipping and professional packing within the United States. Canada and Europe will by much more expensive. Total cost will be calculated at the end of the auction based on the final destination and the amount the trunk needs to be insured for. Serious bidders only please.
