In Full: During July 2002, my husband and I paid £4,850 by credit card to join DWVC, Designer Way Vacation Club, a membership which lasts until the end of December 2051.  Membership entitles you to use the Timelinx reservation office via website / telephone / email to book holidays and travel around the world at discounted prices.  This enabled us to have a better standard of holiday or to travel further afield with a good standard of accommodation at lower than standard high street prices.  Choosing a holiday can be quite daunting, when there are so many options available to you and so many companies / agents with so many different destinations, but with DWVC we knew that once we had chosen somewhere to go they could also arrange our flights, car-hire, airport parking etc too, although you're not obliged to book everything through them if you don't want to. We have enjoyed a number of holidays booked through DWVC since then:- A beautiful secluded villa + annexe with large private pool in Javea, Costa Blanca, Spain - 10 people for two weeks in August 2003 A self-catering apartment on a resort at the fishing village of Burgau, Portugal - just the two of us Another smaller villa on the edge of Javea, Costa Blanca, Spain - 6 people for two weeks in August 2004 Hotel accommodation at The Raffles Plaza Hotel, Singapore - 5 days first part of our honeymoon in September 2005 The best way to see what is available and to read more about membership is to log on to www.dwvc.com Once a member, to book your travel or holiday, you can call or email the reservation centre and give them your requirements, then they will email you different options to choose from, alternatively you can peruse the website, although we have found with the villas that it is best to contact them directly for more choices. The only other charge separate to our initial £4,850 payment is an annual membership fee of £75 which has already been paid for 2008, so the new owner of this membership will be invoiced by DWVC towards the end of the year for their 2009 fees and annually thereafter. Unfortunately, our personal circumstances have changed meaning that we are no longer able to make full use of our membership and take advantage of all it has to offer, so we decided the best thing to do would be to sell it on, as our terms & conditions state that membership can be transferred to new owners by payment of a £60 transfer fee which we will cover ourselves. You may notice from the photos that the membership certificate states "Dream Works" which was the company's name before being changed to "Designer Way".
